ShareIt Customer Pop-Up VAT/Sales Tax Explanation

“Why do I have to pay so much VAT/sales tax?” A survey conducted by the Fraunhofer Institute indicates that customers from the European Union often wonder why they have to pay a certain amount of VAT/sales tax. To increase customers’ satisfaction, ShareIt has made an effort to provide more clarity on the topic of VAT/sales tax. During the order process, customers can now open an information pop-up by clicking on a link explaining in which country the company headquarters is located and the amount of VAT/sales tax applicable to their specific order.
SWREG to Implement Simplified VAT Rules and MN Sales Tax

Now that SWREG is technically USA based we need to advise you of policy changes regarding VAT and Sales tax.
Sales made to Minnesota residents will be charged 6.5% sales tax. SWREG will need to do this as soon as possible and will issue a further statement once this has been done.
On the 1st July SWREG will go live with Simplified VAT. That means that SWREG will apply the VAT rate for each EU country instead of a single 17.5% rate.
Intermediate Level users need do nothing.
Advanced Level users will be provided with a script to look up the VAT percentage against the country name. You will need to set to zero percent for any products SWREG has agreed to set at zero percent (i.e. CDs being … (more…)
Simplified Management of Products for ShareIt Affiliates

In order to make managing your product catalogs easier for your affiliates they will soon be able to specify which of your products they wish to offer on their Web sites. To do so, your affiliates will simply use the ShareIt Affiliate Control Panel’s hide function to deselect the products that they do not wish to sell. Subsequently, affiliates will be able to link to their customized catalog using a single link. This will display all of the products that affiliates wish to sell without requiring affiliates to manage all product links for their entire Web site.
