Posted in Shareit/Element5 on the August 31st, 2006
In Germany, roughly 30 million checking accounts are managed online today, so online banking is a well-established payment method in Germany. In addition, nearly 17 million online banking customers are already using giropay. Now Share-It!offers your German customers the option to easily, securely and quickly remit payment for their order.
After selecting euro as their billing currency and giropay as their payment method, customers enter their bank code and account number so ShareIt can verify whether the customer’s bank is connected to the giropay process. Euro Payment to EU Countries
Posted in SWREG on the August 19th, 2006
New wire laws have been applied by the European Union, and will be enforced starting September 1, 2006. This only applies to payments made in EUROS to these EU countries:
Austria
Belgium
Finland
France
Germany
Greece
Ireland
Italy
Luxembourg
Netherlands
Portugal
Spain
Vatican City
If you fit within these requirements and are using the wire transfer, old BACS-EU, or old Euro EFT payment options of of SWREG, they need an IBAN to process your payment. An account number will no longer be sufficient, and the transferring banks can refuse the payment. The BACS-Euro and Euro EFT can no longer be supported due to these changes and will need to be changed to a different payment option.
Please double check your wire transfer information so it meets these new requirements.
SWREG’s New Fraud Review System Is Live
Posted in SWREG on the August 17th, 2006
The new system screens on many variables on the order. Orders with certain score will be held for manual review. SWREG’s fraud team will review these orders and either complete or decline them based on the information they are gathering from the new system. Certain orders will just fail based on their country or IP.
SWREG also has three new advanced level error codes (45, 46, 47) that will be added to the website. SWREG authors will see huge improvements with this new system.
eSellerate Updates the Embedded Web Store SDK for Macintosh
Posted in eSellerate on the August 10th, 2006
eSellerate today released a new Embedded Web Store SDK for Macintosh. The updated SDK is version 1.0.1.31, and it includes the following enhancements and bug fixes:
Event handling for the eSellerate Embedded Web Store Engine (EWSMac.framework) is now more robust.
An issue with the SDK returning an invalid result (E_SDK_ENGINE_NOT_INSTALLED) for the eWeb_InstallFromPath function is fixed.
Changes were made to prevent the engine from appearing in the Trash as a recovered file.
The askToConnect parameter is now available for use with the eWeb_ActivateSerialNumber function. This parameter controls whether a dialog is displayed asking the user for permission to connect to the Internet when no active connection is found. Previous SDK versions included the parameter with eWeb_ActivateSerialNumber, but reserved it for future use.
