Shareit: Submitting Fixed Gross Price via Link
Posted in Shareit/Element5 on the October 21st, 2004
To offer certain clients a special price without creating a separate product or without using discount coupons, you can now include both your net price, and your gross price in the URL of each link. This enables you to set the exact price displayed to your clients, regardless of the applicable sales tax, thereby providing more transparency to your clients.
You can set the price by generating a link using the link generator. To access this function, click “Integration Assistant” in the Control Panel. After clicking the selection box “Link to Shopping Cart, Product, and Order Pages”, you will see pricing information in the Dynamic Product Prices area where you can select Gross as the Type of Price.
You can also add the fixed gross price to the order link as an individual parameter. To do this, use the Product Price parameter, which allows you to submit differing product prices to the shopping cart and order page. Note: Different prices in different currencies should be separated by commas.
The price type is determined by adding a “G” for gross or “N” for net at the end of the statement, separated from the prices by a comma. For example, 12.95EUR, 14.50USD,G. If a price type is not specified, the net price is displayed as the default.
If you want to submit several products in one link, set up the PRODUCTPRICE parameter for each product and link them with an ampersand (&).
If you have selected the checksum protected price submission in the Administration > Additional Options menu item in the Control Panel, you only need to specify the MD5 checksum to avoid price manipulation.
