New ShareIt Order Process Payment Method - Giropay and Nordea Solo
Posted in Shareit/Element5 on the August 31st, 2006
In Germany, roughly 30 million checking accounts are managed online today, so online banking is a well-established payment method in Germany. In addition, nearly 17 million online banking customers are already using giropay. Now Share-It!offers your German customers the option to easily, securely and quickly remit payment for their order.
After selecting euro as their billing currency and giropay as their payment method, customers enter their bank code and account number so ShareIt can verify whether the customer’s bank is connected to the giropay process. If this is the case, after submitting their order, customers will be redirected to their bank’s Web site to initiate the online wire transfer. After successfully completing the online wire transfer, customers are redirected to the share-it!’s order completion page, and, typically, the product will be delivered immediately.
Scandinavia is also showing a steadily increasing number of online banking customers. In Sweden, wire transfers are more popular than payments by credit card. For customers in Sweden with the Swedish krona billing currency, and customers in Finland paying in euros, ShareIt offers online wire transfers via Nordea Solo. This process is similar to the giropay process except that ShareIt does not conduct a preliminary check on whether the customer’s bank supports the online banking process via Nordea Solo.
In case of a failed online wire transfer, customers are given the option to pay for their order by wire transfer or to select a different payment method.
In reports in the ShareIt Control Panel, orders paid by online wire transfer are identified by GPY for giropay and NSO for Nordea Solo. Your customers should be able to use these new payment types starting mid-September.
