SWREG Credit Card Descriptor Change

Posted in SWREG on the December 22nd, 2005

Starting December 14 2005 DR *SWREG cardquery.com will appear on some customer’s credit card statements.

This change is not been applied to all transactions. In the near future all charges will display as DR *SWREG cardquery.com but currently customers will see the old and new descriptor.

SWREG will be applying the change to the templates receipt and confirmation email but please be sure to update your website and customized templates with this information.

I’ve just had a charge on my card from DR *SWREG cardquery.com and have no idea where it came from??

It seems you ordered software product from company which uses SWREG to process their online orders. You can visit cardquery.com and input your email or some digits of your credit card number, and then they will show you details. cardquery.com is a safe site.

I was charged for a piece of software that I did not authorize. The charge was made on February 21, 2007 and charged to a Master Card account ending in 1920. I have disputed the charge, closed the account, and expect you to have to fork over the $32.95 that was erroneously charged to my account. I hope you tighten up your security system and not be so eager to sell your merchancise.

I would also like to be included in a class action lawsuit for fraudulent charges on my credit card. Too bad the date and time this charge was supposedly made I know exactly what I was doing, and it wasn’t on the computer making purchases. I have notified my credit card company of the fraudulent charge and they are investigating.

I am another name to add to the, what seems to be ever increasing, number of people who have been charged for no apparent reason by this “company”. i don’t know what the going rate is but i have been charged about $200. This matter will not be let go lightly!

  11. Posted at 10:01 am on August 15th, 2007 by Unathorized Charge

Like many of you, I saw an unathorized charge on my card for 19.90. I thought it was something I had ordered recently, but the company was giving me a 30day free trial. I looked up the site and all the software they had were not any that I would ever buy or try.

It was hard trying to get in contact with SWREG. Did send them an email but have not responded(Day1). Will give them one more day. And then will try contacting them again.

I closed my bank card acct and waiting on new card. I’m not sure how they got my card info, but definately checking my computer for any signs of compromise.

So, if we are all interested in a Class Action Suit, why don’t we plan it out. I have no idea how to go about it, but we need to find out who is getting our info and making purchases on this site.

Send me an email if you all want to give me some info on how to go about this. gq007t@iwon.com

I was worried about a purchase I had not made due to the name of the company. However, after researching my purchases, I found out that I had made a legitimate purchase but the company seems to make use of a different name to charge my credit card account. This caused many problems but now it is taken care of. The company would benefit from a clear notice, at the very beginning of the receipt, to all of its clients about this company name.

I am from the UK and I have just noticed a charge on my CC statment of 60 pounds , this too was a piece of computer software. As i am asked for online ’security’ vertification for every purchase I make I am at a loss to how this could have happened. I’ve contacted Captial One who were very helpful but concerned that if they are able to access that account will my bank account by targetted?

Dr Swreg, whoever he is, somehow took £28.30 from my card without permission. How can this be? They also enrolled me in something called Shopdisc at £8.00 per month. Can any one tell me how this can happen without authorisation? First thing; cut up the credit card. I expect a refund from Dr Swreg if you’re listening. Will pursue action to halt this dubious scam.

Hi Everyone! I just wanted to let everyone know that SWREG understands, cares and is very concerned about your complaints. I have been working with SWREG closely and we are making great efforts to resolve the issue. SWREG has just recently launched a customer service page (http://cs.swreg.org/) and a FAQ page (http://faq.swreg.org/) that will answer any questions and concerns that you may have. In addition, they also have a 24 hour customer service center for a very quick response. SWREG wants to clarify that prior to 2007, the SWREG name appeared on all credit card statements, independent of product purchased or vendor. In 2007, SWREG added the ability for our vendors to provide their own company name or product name on credit card/billing statements in order to make it more recognizable to their customers. However, SWREG still has some vendors with the previous billing set up that have not migrated/switched to the new vendor-specific set up feature. For more information on this issue, please visit http://faq.swreg.org/#billing.

So today, I was contacted by my bank and they told me that I had been a victim of some kind of fraud and that they had cancelled my debit card. I met with the head of my bank to look over my statements and this SWREG name appeared on there numerous times. I have no idea how my personal card was compromised. I hate that anyone else had to go through this but it helps to know that I am not alone.

    Hi everyone

Im not sure how many this will apply to but today i have checked my online bank statement to see monies of £158.20 taken from my bank by DRI custom writing upon phoning my bank to enquire they advised me this was a company cardquery.com, so it appears my card has been cloned and used at this website, I am not sure where you guys are from or if this could even be the same case but i urge anyone unsure to contact their banks, with any joy they will refund you as mine have. My bank are onto whoever this is (so i am advised) but personally will not let them “settle” until this is resolved.

The cardquery that you mention is a download for a poker cheat program that they say will work on any poker website until you download it and THEN they tell you it only works on Absolute Poker. They billed me 49.99 plus tax and it says right on their website if you are not satisfied with your purchase for any reason they will refund 100% of your money, well 17 days and 6 e-mails later I have not gotten a response. Fortunately for me I only live 10 miles from SWREG located at 9625 W. 76th St. #150 Eden Prairie, MN. 55344 So I guess if they dont want to give me my refund I will go get it in person.

Re a phone call and a take over of my computer by a company who are supposed to give me computer virus protection. I have been debited $179 on my credit card to SWREG card query.com. I am somewhat anxious about this as I thought it was going to Microsoft. If you could please assure me of the credibility of this deal and cost I would appreciate your reply. Thankyou, Regards, Ian

I made a purches threw DRI*SWREG for a little over $50.00. The product i purchesed didn’t work and when I tried to e-mail the company, my e-mails were kicked back. My order number is E2124558601. I have since canceled my card and filed a dispute with my bank. Anyone who has this company make charges to their account I recomend do the same.
